A station for Lockleaze?

Maria Perrett of Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, local councillor David Wilcox and FoSBR's Rob Dixon and Tim Weekes at the site of proposed Lockleaze train station

Lockleaze residents have joined with FoSBR to campaign for a new railway station near Constable Road, Lockleaze.

Please join us at Constable Road bridge (BS7 9RU) on Saturday 31st July 2021, at 3pm, to show our MP and councillors that you support a train station for Lockleaze.

Constable Road is a continuation of Lockleaze Road. It leads from Filton Avenue, opposite where Wessex Avenue joins from Horfield Common.

Station would be new transport hub for Lockleaze

Buses already run from Constable Road to Gainsborough Square and other Lockleaze streets, to Southmead Hospital and Filton Avenue. A train station could provide a new transport hub for Lockleaze, making it easier to get to a lot of places including the hospital. Lockleaze station is part of FoSBR’s Plan for Rail.

1200 new homes

There are plans to build 1200 new hones in the area around Constable Road. Congestion is already a problem and we want to have an alternative to driving. Journeys by public transport need to be easier, quicker and more convenient.
